Removal Requests

What this page is for
A document owner can ask us to withhold the full text of their document. Diffs, quoted excerpts and reviews stay published, because quoting for comparison and criticism is the point of the site and is what the law's quotation exceptions cover. We run this process because a documented, fast answer is the right thing to do. No law obliges us to do it.
Who can ask
The copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
What to send
Email us at hello@xo.vision with subject "Removal request"
Include:
- Your name, organisation and role
- The exact tldr URL(s) of the document(s)
- A statement that you own or represent the owner
- The reason
- Evidence of ownership if we ask
What happens next
- We acknowledge within one business day.
- Within three business days we withhold the full text and note it on this page.
- Within ten business days we tell you our decision and why.
- If we restore the text and you disagree, you can take it to a court. We will keep the document available for that.
A request under the GDPR (for example a named person inside a privacy policy) gets answered within one month as the law requires.
