Sexual conditions, such as STDs and sexual problems, need a medical evaluation and treatment. Doctors use STD tests to diagnose sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis. Small anti-herpes RNA molecules applied to the vagina protect mice against new herpes infections for 1 week. It's hoped a similar strategy will work for HIV.
