Cisco Privacy Statement

This update is almost entirely cosmetic. Cisco removed the 'Trust Center' promo box, dropped a few broken internal anchor links (they now point nowhere instead of to a working page), added a link to a CCPA metrics report and a new plain-language summary page, and changed heading levels and the effective date. The 'Questions, comments, and how to contact us' section with the privacy officer mailing addresses was removed from this excerpt, but no substantive rights, data practices, or legal terms changed.

A handful of 'see this section' links inside the policy (and the contact-us link) no longer point to a working page, they're empty placeholders. This doesn't change your rights, but it could make it harder to find or follow a referenced section if you're trying to look something up.

10### What is Personal Data?
4## What is Personal Data?
± CHANGEDSection heading levels changed

Most section headings were changed from third-level to second-level headings (a formatting/structure change only, no wording changes to the headings themselves).

115
126"Personal Data" is any information that can reasonably be used to identify an individual, or otherwise make an individual identifiable, and may include name, address, email address, phone number, login information (such as account number and password), social media account information, or payment card number.
7
138The types of Personal Data we may process depend on the business context and the purposes for which it was collected. It may include:
149
1510- Contact, subscription, and account, visit, and event registration details, as well as online identifiers
1611- Login credentials where we require an account be made
1712- Communications content (such as audio, video, text), social media and discussion forum, or other communications details when you interact with Cisco
1813- Financial Information (such as bank account details or credit card information)

2116
2217If we link other data with your Personal Data, we will treat that linked data as Personal Data.
2318

35- Managing communications preferences. You can modify your communication preferences at any time. See [Your choices and selecting your communication preferences]() below
± CHANGEDSeveral internal links now point nowhere

A number of links that used to point to the full privacy statement page (for cross-references like 'Your choices and selecting your communication preferences' or 'contact us') now have empty, broken link targets. This doesn't change what the policy says, but it makes it harder to actually navigate to the referenced sections or contact page.

4237- Managing job applications and human resources administration
4338- Establishing and managing customer surveys and advisory councils/boards
4439- Administering online education, testing, and certifications
