Privacy Controls

Shopify reworded two lines on its Privacy Controls page. The word "certain" was dropped from the erase and access options, so the page now simply says you can erase or get a copy of your personal data. The access option also changed from "receive a copy" to "request a copy." No actual rights, timelines, or processes changed.

Cosmetic change: formatting, typos, or contact details.

± CHANGED"Erase data" wording is now broader

The page used to say you could erase "certain" personal data. It now just says "personal data," which reads as covering more, not less.

27I want to receive a copy of certain personal data that Shopify has about me.
27I want to request a copy of personal data that Shopify has about me.
± CHANGED"Access data" wording changed from receiving to requesting a copy

The line dropped the word "certain" (broader) but changed "receive a copy" to "request a copy" (slightly more cautious wording — you ask, and Shopify still decides what it sends). This is a labeling tweak; the underlying request process is unchanged.
