Cookies Policy
This update is a language and capture change, not a change in substance. The earlier snapshot was the German version of Meta's Cookies Policy; the new snapshot is the English version of the same policy. The wording, the reasons Meta gives for using cookies, where cookies are placed, and the role of other companies are all the same. Some page furniture (Privacy Center menu, effective date, print and older-version links) and the collapsed drop-down sections listing cookie purposes and your control tools did not appear in the new capture, but the headings are still there and no right or practice was actually taken away.
Cosmetic change: formatting, typos, or contact details.

− REMOVEDPrivacy Center navigation menu no longer captured The site menu links (Privacy Center home, search, privacy guide, settings) are gone from the capture. This is page navigation, not policy text.
| 3 | Cookies are small pieces of text used to store information on web browsers. Cookies are used to store and receive identifiers and other information on computers, phones and other devices. Other technologies, including data that we store on your web browser or device, identifiers associated with your device and other software, are used for similar purposes. In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies". | |
± CHANGEDDocument switched from German to English The whole policy now appears in English instead of German. The meaning of each section is unchanged — for example, the definition of cookies and the note that the Privacy Policy covers data collected through cookies say the same thing in both versions.
