icts/cookiebeleid/

The old policy named the specific advertising partners (like Studyportals, Keystone Education Group, QS, THE, Meta, LinkedIn, Google) that receive data collected through targeting cookies, and listed exactly which third-party trackers were active. That list and explanation have been deleted. The policy still says targeting cookies are used and shared with 'advertising partners' in general terms, but you've lost the ability to check exactly who those partners are.

“Indien we samenwerken met onze vertrouwde advertentiepartners zoals bv. Studyportals, Keystone Education Group, QS en THE worden de gegevens uit doelgroepgerichte cookies met hen gedeeld.”

What you can do — Use a tracker-blocking browser extension (e.g. Privacy Badger or Ghostery) since the site no longer publishes a checkable list of which third-party trackers are present.

Previously you could look up every specific cookie used on each KU Leuven subdomain — including analytics tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar, and embedded content trackers from Vimeo, Spotify, Canva, and others — along with whether it came directly from KU Leuven or a third party. That full inventory has been deleted, leaving only general category descriptions. This makes it harder to know exactly what's being tracked on any given page.

“#### Prestatiecookies”

What you can do — Check your browser's site-data/cookie viewer for a given KU Leuven page if you want to see which specific cookies it sets, since the policy no longer lists them.
