What changed, in plain language

FC2 added an entirely new section to its Terms of Use covering a prepaid voucher product called 'OTOcoupon.' What you can do — Spend the full balance of any OTOcoupon within 12 months of purchase, and keep track of the purchase date since FC2 does not appear to send expiry reminders.

FC2 won't handle refunds for unused vouchers bought from resellersMATERIAL

If you want a refund for a voucher you never used, FC2 won't help — you have to go back to whichever third-party reseller sold it to you, and you're stuck with whatever refund rules that reseller has (which could mean no refund at all).

What you can do — Before buying an OTOcoupon from a third-party reseller, check that reseller's refund policy, since FC2 will not process refunds directly.

LIABILITY LIMITS

FC2 says you must treat the voucher like cash — if it's lost, stolen, or damaged, you're out of luck and can't get FC2 to replace the balance or compensate you.

“We will not accept any liability for lost, stolen or damaged Vouchers or for any remaining balance on the Vouchers.”

What you can do — Store voucher codes securely, the same way you would store cash or a gift card number, since a lost code likely means lost money.

UNILATERAL CHANGES

FC2 gives itself broad, open-ended power to change these voucher terms or discontinue the OTOcoupon entirely whenever it wants, without specifying advance notice to users who may be holding unused balances.

What you can do — If you hold an OTOcoupon balance, consider using it promptly rather than saving it long-term, since the program's rules or existence could change without much warning.

 #### 19.Digital Content Usage and Prohibition of Unauthorized Reproduction
 . Customers may use digital content purchased or viewed through the Service only for personal, non-commercial use.
 . For the purposes of copyright protection and the prevention of misuse, the Company may embed information to identify the customer (digital watermarks) in the files of digital content that customers download. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
 . Customers are prohibited, without the Company's permission, from reproducing, publicly performing or displaying, transmitting or making available to the public, distributing, assigning or transferring, lending, translating, or adapting the digital content.
 . If a violation of the preceding provision is discovered, the Company may suspend the customer's use of the Service. In addition, the copyright holder and the Company may take legal action against the violator.
