Normen en richtlijnen voor content (Content Standards and Guidelines)
The previous capture of this page was empty, and the new version contains the full introduction to Booking.com's content standards. The text sets the ground rules for reviews, photos, and listings you post: they must follow these guidelines, they are part of Booking.com's wider terms and privacy notices, and content that breaks the rules will be removed or you'll be asked to edit it. Nothing here changes your data rights, payments, or legal options. The only real consumer impact is the confirmation that Booking.com can take down content you post.
Your reviews and photos must follow content rules or they can be taken down
Anything you post — a review, a picture, or a property listing — has to meet Booking.com's content standards. If it doesn't, they can delete it or ask you to change it. This is a normal content rule for a review site, and the only stated consequence is losing the post, not losing your account or your money. Note that the actual list of what is and isn't allowed isn't in this text, so the standard your post is judged against isn't spelled out here.
“If your content doesn't comply, we'll remove it or reach out to you about editing the comment to meet our guidelines.”
What you can do — If a review of yours gets removed or you're asked to edit it, reply to Booking.com's message — they offer the chance to fix the post rather than just deleting it. Keep a copy of any review you care about before submitting it.
