Some essential features on BBC sites just won't work without cookies. And having other cookies switched off can seriously affect the way you'll be able to enjoy our services. You can learn more about cookies and what they do on our other pages.

Due to browser security, your cookie preferences won't carry over from bbc.co.uk to bbc.com and vice versa. Please make sure to set your cookie preferences on this page at both bbc.com and bbc.co.uk.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies can't be turned off. They are essential so that you can move around the website and use its features. Without these cookies services you have asked for cannot be provided. See list of strictly necessary cookies.

Functional cookies

These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make to give you better functionality and personal features. See list of functional cookies.

Performance and Personalised Advertising Cookies for Users Outside the UK

If you're outside the UK you'll see advertising. We use the income from advertising to help fund BBC services, including making BBC Online available outside the UK.

Turn the performance cookies toggle on to opt in if you're ok with getting personalised advertising from our advertisers. If you set your preference as "off" you'll turn off BBC's performance cookies (see list above), including personalised advertising cookies. You'll still get advertising but it will be based on factors like where you are located or the content on the page you are reading and it may be less interesting and relevant to you.

This toggle doesn't work with a small number of our advertising partners. To change your personalised advertising preferences with them go to their privacy policy and follow their opt out instructions to get non-personalised ads.

You can also find out more about Advertising for non-UK users, how to opt out of advertising cookies not controlled by this setting and see a list of our Advertising Partners.
