Badoo Richtlijnen voor de gemeenschap (Community Guidelines)
This is the first version of Badoo's Community Guidelines we captured, so the whole document is new to us rather than being an edit of an earlier text. It sets out the rules for profiles (age 18+, real photos, real-sounding usernames) and for behavior (no harassment, nudity, hate, scams, spam, violence, and more). The parts that matter most for you: Badoo can ask for your ID, uses people and automated systems to review accounts and interactions, can act on things you do off the app, and can ban you from some or all Bumble Inc. apps.
Badoo can ban you broadly — including from other Bumble apps and for things you do off the app
The rules let Badoo act if it simply believes your behavior is "potentially harmful" to Badoo or its members. That is a very wide and subjective standard. A ban can also reach beyond Badoo to other Bumble Inc. apps, and can be based on alleged conduct that happened on a date, in another messaging app, or even in your past before you joined. There is no promise of a refund for any paid features you lose.

What you can do — If your account is actioned and you think it's wrong, use the appeal link in the guidelines (support.badoo.com/hc/articles/32092037528989) right away, and keep your own copies of any purchase receipts.
Your account and your chats can be scanned by staff and software
Badoo says human moderators and automated systems monitor and review accounts and interactions. That means your messages with other members are not private between just the two of you — they can be read or machine-scanned for rule-breaking.

What you can do — Assume anything you send on Badoo may be reviewed; don't share sensitive personal or financial details in chats.
You can be asked to hand over ID to prove your age
Badoo reserves the right to ask you for identification to check your age, and to block you if it isn't satisfied. That means giving a dating company a government document, which is sensitive data.

What you can do — Before uploading ID, check Badoo's privacy policy for how long the document is kept, and cover any details not needed for age checks if the process allows it.
Badoo may share information with law enforcement
The guidelines say Badoo may cooperate with police on possible criminal investigations into member conduct. This is fairly normal, but it is worded as Badoo's own judgment of when it is "necessary" rather than only when legally required.

Strict profile and username rules, plus a VPN restriction
You must post a clear, unfiltered photo of your own face and use a name that matches what people really call you — no nicknames made of symbols, numbers, or handles. If you are ever restricted, using a VPN or a new account to get back on is itself a violation that leads to removal.
