43## RISK OF LOSS
43## DELIVERY
4444
4545All purchases of physical items from Amazon are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier or, if such items must cross an international border, then risk of loss and title pass to you when they clear customs in Canada.
4646
47You authorize Amazon and its carriers to deliver your purchased items to the delivery address you provide at the time of purchase (the "Delivery Location"). You agree that Amazon is not required to deliver purchased items to you personally and that Amazon may deliver such items to you by alternative delivery methods, including by: (1) leaving the purchased items inside a building at the Delivery Location (e.g., by putting the items through a mail slot or placing the items inside a building), (2) leaving the purchased items with any individual present at the Delivery Location (e.g., a guest, resident, concierge, receptionist, or building attendant), (3) leaving the purchased items in a mailbox, lockbox, locker, PO box, mail/package room, delivery area, garage, or other similar location at the Delivery Location, or (4) leaving the purchased items unattended at the Delivery Location (e.g., on a porch or doorstep, outside a building entrance, or in another outdoor area associated with the Delivery Location). You agree that, for the purposes of applicable consumer protection laws in the province or territory where you reside or where the items are delivered (as applicable), such delivery constitutes fulfillment of Amazon's delivery obligations. Amazon is not responsible for theft, damage, or loss of purchased items after delivery to the Delivery Location.
48
4749## RETURNS, REFUNDS AND TITLE
4850
4951Amazon does not take title to returned items until the item arrives at our fulfillment centre. At our discretion, a refund may be issued without requiring a return. In this situation, Amazon does not take title to the refunded item. For more information about our returns and refunds in general, please see our [Returns Centre](https://www.amazon.ca/gp/css/returns/homepage.html).
